Der er ca. 11 000 politifolk i Dansk Politi, som udgør både politipersonale, inde- og udetjeneste, arbejde på Grønland og Færøerne samt international tjeneste. For alle disse funktioner udgør fodtøj en central del af medarbejdernes daglige uniformering.
