De to detektorer skal indgå i Nukleart Beredskabs måle- og analysekapacitet, således at Beredskabsstyrelsens internationale forpligtigelser på området, kan opretholdes. De to detektorer gør dermed også, at Beredskabsstyrelsen vil have redundant kapacitet på området, og udstyret skal sammen med både det luft -og køretøjsbårne udstyr udgøre rygraden i Nukleart Beredskab.
