Delaftale 1: Banedanmark ibrugtager ERTMS (nyt signalsystem) på strækningen Fredericia-Århus januar 2026 og strækningen Middelfart-Fredericia i 1. halvår af 2027. Samtidig har DSB et behov for at bringe IC4-togsæt, der ikke er ombygget til at køre på ERTMS-strækninger, fra Fredericia/Middelfart til værkstedet i Århus og tilbage igen fra start af 2026 og indtil IC4 udfases (forventet start 2028).
