TV 2 DANMARK A/S (TV 2) hereby invites all interested and qualified suppliers to apply for prequalification in relation to the tender 'Smart TV Apps for TV 2 PLAY'.
Scope of tender
The tender includes delivery of Smart TV applications for four Smart TV manufacturers and is constructed with a Lot for each App/Manufacturer.
— Lot 1: Samsung Smart TV App for TV 2 PLAY.
— Lot 2: Sony Smart TV App for TV 2 PLAY.
— Lot 3: LG Smart TV App for TV 2 PLAY.
— Lot 4: Philips Smart TV App for TV 2 PLAY.
Tenderers may bid on all or some of the lots, but it will have positive impact on the evaluation if the Tenderer can provide more or all of the Apps.
The lots consist of development/delivery of the Apps and a service and support agreement for bug-fixing, adaption and further development of the Apps.
Service and App characteristics
TV 2 PLAY (tv2play.dk) is a subscription based Internet TV service with premium content such as Flow TV channels, TV Shows, Movies, Children's shows, News and Sport.
The quality and security of the Apps must be of very high standard.
Key App requirements:
— The Apps must be built on top of the existing TV 2 PLAY backend that has an REST API for Apps and the API provides all metadata, media images and has business logic implemented.
— UX, design and Navigation must be based on the UX for existing TV 2 PLAY apps but adapted for the individual platforms native UX.
— The Apps must be able to play Live and On Demand streaming content in ABR format (Smooth Streaming is preferred).
— The Apps must be developed and implemented to meet security requirements for premium video content, including: DRM (PlayReady is preferred), Geo-restriction, Output protection, Device Registration, Prevention of simultaneous playback on multiple devices etc.These features are implemented in the backend and API but require corresponding functionality in the Apps.
— Integration to Analytic Systems.
These factors are of great significance to the desired solutions:
— Ease of use / usability.
— High stability for navigation and playback.
— Responsiveness and performance.
— Design, look & feel.
— Time to market – as short as possible.
— Fast support and bug-fixing.
