TP 4 Urban Tunnels

Banedanmark

Tender Package TP4, Urban Tunnels, is a design and build contract that covers the majority of civil works associated with the construction of the new railway line for the Urban Section of the Copenhagen to Ringsted Rail Line development.
The contract is located between ch.0+100 and ch.4+100, which passes through a built up area of Copenhagen. The nature of the site provides a number of challenges and constraints for the proposed railway alignment such as existing structures, highways, utilities and environmental requirements. As a result the proposed railway alignment varies, both in line and level, along the route in order to provide an efficient and economical design, while at the same time minimising the impact of the scheme on the surrounding area.
To achieve the proposed alignment a combination of structures and engineering solutions will need to be utilised. The key works will include the following components:
- 1 255m of Tunnel Structures
- 1 795m of Trough Structures
- 5No. Emergency Exits with Ramps
- 2no. Pumping Stations with Emergency Exits
- 2No. New Pedestrian Bridges
- 1no. Modified Pedestrian Bridges
- 2No. Railway Bridges
- Changes to existing highways
- MEP and SCADA systems (excluding components directly related to the railway operating systems)
- Rail Civil Works
- Earthworks

Banedanmark wants to involve and coorperate with the contractor about the design and planning to incorporate the contractors experience. Tender material wil comprise 3D model for the contractors design and construction.The new line Copenhagen - Ringsted project intends to invite 4-6 applicants to tender. If there are more than 6 applicants, Banedanmark will undertake prequalification based on referencies from similar assignments. The selection wil be based on finansiel capacity, referencies and skills to handle 3D modellering. Contract Conditions, background material, including for example geotechnical reports may be in danish. Contractors technical material must be written in English or Danish. Tenderes must translate themselves. The application can be submitted electronically, on CD/DVD or USB. Tender documents are expected made available on 24.4.2013.

Teknisk og faglig kompetence:

Experience with large civil works projects, including urban projects where working space is limited, is deemed desirable. Specific reference to cut and cover construction, cut-off walls and large scale ground water control systems should be highlighted. Experience in areas such as handling contaminated soils, operating adjacent to live highways and high volume concrete casting should be detailed. Relevant referencies not older than 10-15 years must be enclosed.

Usage of 3D modeling is a requirement at the project The New Line Copenhagen-Ringsted. The client supplies deliveries in 3D and expects "as build" documentations as 3D models from the contractor. Further details about file formats, principals for detailing and usage of software are to be discussed and agreed by contract negotiations, while the general requirements concerning 3D modeling is included in the tender documents. During the process, and at agreed intervals, these models should be delivered to the client for control.

Requirements for 3D models are primarily related to generating a well-defined geometry, which must be delivered in agreed CAD formats, based on function and properties of the structure. The application must contain a description of the applicant's design tools and workflows and the approach to 3D modeling of the structures included in the tender. It is an advantage to include examples from previous projects.

Kontraktens udførelse
Krav om deponering og sikkerhedsstillelse: Guaranties will be required in accordance to ABT 93 § 6.
De vigtigste finansieringsbetingelser og betalingsordninger og/eller henvisning til de relevante bestemmelser, der regulerer dem: The contractor will be paid monthly for executed works.
