E105: Facade works including completion works
The facade is based on a unitized system with panels of 10x3 meters spanning horizontally 10 meters (each panel 30 m2). Each metal panel constitutes its own structural part, designed for vertical and horizontal loads . The weight of the panels goes from approx. 900 kg/panel to 1 600 kg/panel depending on the panel type.
The panels are made in raw aluminum, fitted with glass infills, net infills or no infills depending on the functional criteria. The perimeter of the building is approximately 520 m and the building height varies from 35 m to 90 m.
The facade consists of 3 panel types:
Type 1 , wind and water tight, low thermal and acoustic insulation values, with glass in fills used front of tipping hall and process hall.
Type 2, open, with net for bird protection, used in front of concrete walls and as cladding on the lower ramp for public acces to the roof.
Type 3, wind and water tight, high thermal and acoustic insulation values, with glass in fills, used front of administration .
Each panel types has a number of variations accommodating the panels to the rounded corners, the sloped roof edge and sloped buttom of the facede in certain areas.
The panels must be installed only from the outside except for the façade in front of the administration that can be fitted from the inside. The installation requires high installation speed mainly the area of the process hall.
