Urban civil works - design contract (Urban contract)

The assignment includes technical design in connection with the New Railway Copenhagen-Ringsted. The assignment is geographically limited to the Urban Section, a distance of approx. 3.4 km in the urban area between "Frugtmarkedet" and "Avedoere Havnevej". The assignment includes:
— Preliminary work for construction of the railway etc. including construction sites, access roads and upgrading of roads and trails,
— 4 concrete construction -u trough – for the railway track (length about 200 - 20 - 120 - 180 meters),
— 1 road bridge - Retortvej,
— 1 railway bridge – Harestrup Å (stream),
— 3 bridges for pedestrians and cyclists over railway and motorway,
— 2 tunnels for railway along Kulbanevej and Allingvej (length about 700 - 600 meters),
— Supporting walls and other additional structures, such as wildlife passages.
The assignment includes technical design of the civil works - excavation, embankment construction and road, soil and nature conditions. Furthermore, the consultant must elaborate the basis for consideration by the authorities, and dialogue with authorities.
The invitation to tender will include an option for supervision as specified below.
The extent of the task depends on the project's strategy for the performance. Probably, it will be a combination of detail design and turnkey contracts.
The following main tasks may be included:
— Design of structures incl. internal drainage,
— Design of road and landscaped walks incl. internal drainage,
— Design of project for relocation of roads and paths incl. internal drainage,
— Geotechnical assessment. Assessment of soil suitability as a foundation for high-speed rail, including project to handle soft grounds,
— Plan of action for soil incl. classification of soil and work out the technical basis for authority agreements,
— Drainage project,
— Project for noise suppression,
— Plan of action to minimize temporarily and permanent vibration,
— Environmental project for Nature and Fauna,
— Tender documents for contractors,
— Other naturally associated tasks.
Option:
Supervision and as-build documentation Civil Works: Depending on project strategy, the consultant could also assist the client inspecting the contractor’s works (supervision) during the construction phase and provide as-build documentation.
Duration of contract is depending on placing of supervision responsibilities and as build documentation.
Location of consultants work: according to the project strategy, the consultant’s personnel must work closely together with the client and the other consultant’s. This means, that the client and the consultant’s personnel will be situated on the same location in the Copenhagen Area.
The consultant must be able to work in both English and Danish language, as it can be assumed that e.g. tender documents for contracts will be in English while the material for authorities must be in Danish.

The candidate shall provide the following information: a) Name and address of candidate b) Candidate’s contact person c) Brief description of candidate’s organization. The candidate (and each member of a joint venture or a partnership, if applicable) shall provide certificate(s) from competent authorities/trade registers for the purpose of showing: 1) that he is not subject proceedings for bankruptcy, winding-up or arrangements with creditors 2) that he has not been convicted of any offence concerning his professional conduct 3) that he has fulfilled obligations related to taxes and security contributions.

Teknisk og faglig kompetence:

In view of the complex nature of the scope of services, presentation of appropriate evidence of the candidate’s technical capability (incl. skills, efficiency, experience and reliability) is an absolute requirement for being selected as tenderer. For this purpose the candidate (and each member of a joint venture or a partnership, if applicable) shall provide the following information: a) Description of relevant references including clients names and addresses; b) Description of the company’s organization with number of employed; c) general description of the quality control system used by the candidate and d) a statement of the tools, technical equipment and systems available to the candidate for carrying out the services.
