2011-03-25   Prequalification for 5086/10 renovation of the synchronous compensator, Vester Hassing (Energinet.dk)
The synchronous compensator in Vester Hassing was installed in 1965 in connection with the establishment of the HVDC-connection Konti-Skan 1. This means that the magnetization-, protection- and control equipment etc. has been functioning longer than the design life of 30 years. An assessment of life span conducted in 2004 revealed that the compensator itself is in a good condition with a remaining life expectancy of at least 15-20 years.
