The tender will be foundation for the 4th national LiDAR based DHM covering Denmark. The first was acquired in 2006 and 2007, the 2nd was acquired in 2014 and 15 and the 3rd was acquired from 2019-23. The national height model is considered fundamental data, and is distributed as free data. SDFI has a requirement to make an updated DHM every 5 years minimum, which this what this tender will cover. This requirement specification is part of an EU-tender by Agency for Data Supply and Infrastructure, for digital aerial photography, aerotriangulation and ortho photo production 2023. Denmark is organised into a total of 53 photo-blocks of a similar size of 500 to 1400 km2. 2022-08-25 Digital ortho photos from ice free Greenland from satellitte 2022 (Styrelsen for Dataforsyning og Infrastruktur)
In 2016, SDFIs made a pilot project to determine how ice free parts of Greenland could be mapped and how an ortho photo could be made available. In 2020 SDFI had a tender to cover large parts of Greenland with ortho photo. This project is a follow up from 2020 to cover ice free areas of Greenland which do not yet have ortho photos.
