The National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen will open an exhibition in June 2021 about the Vikings with the working title ‘The Raid’. We will create an exhibition where communication of high-level expert information is combined with sensuous narrative angles which, overall, provides the visitors with a unique experience of the Vikings.
With this call for tenders, the National Museum of Denmark wishes to find a cooperation partner for the development, design, production and installation of the scenographic/presentational physical framework of the exhibition, including audio-visual elements.
The concept of the exhibition consists of two main features:
1) a basic exhibition of objects; and
2) a narrative/filmically run special exhibition which will change over time but which in connection with this call for tenders will be based on an account of a Viking raid. The basic exhibition will thus remain for the duration of the exhibition of 10 years and only change marginally in connection with new research results and an alignment to topics included in the special exhibition. But the nature and content of the special exhibition will change after a given number of years. However, theses changes of the basic exhibition and the special exhibition after the opening of the exhibition in June 2021 are not included in this tender.
This call for tenders covers the following deliverables from the supplier: Consultations with the museum concerning concept, preparation of design, handling of production and set-up/construction/installation of the basic exhibition as well as the special exhibition ‘The Raid’. The task includes delivery and production/installation of audio-visual elements as per specifications.

This procedure includes a pre-qualification phase where the contracting entity will limit the number of applicants invited to submit tender to 4 applicants. The shortlisting of applicants invited to tender will be based on an evaluation of which applicants have documented the most relevant references and CVs, see section III.1.4), in relation to the services covered by the contract, see the description in sections II.1.4) and II.2.4) and the document entitled ‘Additional information regarding contract notice’. An applicant's references will in this connection be given more weight than the applicant's CVs.
In the evaluation of which applicants have documented the most relevant references, the extent to which the references, combined, concern projects covering development, design, production and installation of comparable exhibitions will be assessed.

Tenders may also be submitted by a group of entities (e.g. a consortium). If the contract is awarded to a group of operators (e.g. a consortium), each participant of the group must undertake joint and several liability and appoint a joint representative.
Exclusion grounds
The applicant must with the application submit a solemn declaration that the applicant is not subject to the grounds for exclusion set out in sections 135 and 136 and section 137(1), para (2) of the Danish Public Procurement Act. Additional information
In relation to section I.3), it should be noted that additional information will be made available in the tender documents that will be sent to the selected candidates.
As regards section II.1.5), it should be noted that the amount is an estimate of the expected total contract price for the entire duration of the contract. The amount is an estimate within an expected range of DKK 9 000 000-1 000 000.
On 18 March at 12.30, an information meeting will be held at the address Ny Vestergade 10, 1471 Copenhagen K, Denmark. For practical reasons, operators interested in participating in the meeting are asked to sign up via the electronic tendering system not later than 2 days before the meeting with indication of name of business and number of participants. The contracting entity may reduce the number of participants per business if deemed necessary for practical reasons. The contracting entity will subsequently make a video recording of the information meeting and, if relevant, draw up brief minutes from the meeting which will be published through the electronic tendering system.
Re. section II.2.7) above, please note that the stated dates are the expected duration of the contract, however, this may be subject to change.

Pursuant to the Danish Act on the Complaints Board for Public Procurement, etc. (lov om Klagenævnet for Udbud m.v.) (the Act is available (in Danish) at www.retsinformation.dk) the following deadlines apply to the lodging of complaints regarding procedures covered by Title III of the Danish Public Procurement Act:
Complaints of award procedures, see section 7(2) of the Act, must be lodged with the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement before the expiry of:
1) 45 calendar days after the contracting entity has published a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union that the contracting entity has entered into a contract. The deadline is calculated from the day after the day when the notice was published.
2) 30 calendar days calculated from the day after the day when the contracting entity has notified the applicants concerned that a contract based on a framework agreement with reopening of competition or a dynamic purchasing system has been entered into, where the notification has included an explanation of the relevant grounds for the decision.
