Computerome is the Danish National Supercomputer for life sciences. The system is largest system of its type in Denmark and Scandinavia. Life science research has special demands for the amount of data being processed as well as for the transfer time between storage and computing resources hence the storage system design a key for the success of the platform.
The current system is going through a complete refresh of the HPC system. The compute cluster consists of 50 000 CPUs which the new storage system will be attached to. It’s a key to understand that the system is built after privacy by design and computable storage, hence it’s important that new storage system architecture reflects that as well.
The new super computer (“hereinafter Computerome 2.0”) is split into 2 systems (active-active) to provide even higher level of service to its users.

The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award a lot without prior procurement for the spare parts listed in Appendix 1 in accordance with the Danish Public Procurement Act, No 1564 of 15 December, Section 8, Subsection 2.

The tender includes the following minimum options:

— back-up and archiving capabilitiesm

— upgrading storage PBm

— data management systemm

— next business day 5

The options must be available for a period of 4 years from the date of approved acceptance test.

Betingelser for deltagelse
Mindstekrav til niveauet:

The tenderer must disclose the following requirements in the ESPD, Part IV.B:

— the general yearly turnover for each of the last 3 audited financial years,

— the profit margin for the last 3 audited financial yearsm and

— the solvency ratio for the last audited financial year

The tenderer must meet the following requirements:

— the general average turnover in the last 3 audited financial years must be minimum 50 000 000 DKK per year,

— the average profit margin in the last 3 audited financial years must be minimum 0m and

— the solvency ratio in the last audited financial year must be minimum 0.

— 3 references within life science and/or healthcare (see Appendix 1 and the Contract Notice) no more than 5 years old from application date. The reference’s primary purpose must be life sciences or healthcare.

The tenderer must disclose the following requirements in the ESPD, Part IV.C.

A list of similar or equivalent works/services completed by the tenderer stating as a minimum:

— storage size in PB’sm

— front end interface and protocol, e.g 10 g Ethernet and NFSm

— the year and month of installation,

— purpose of cluster (what is the cluster used for?)m

— name and telephone number of the recipient.
