The Owner of S/S Georg Stage seeks to enter into a contract with a shipyard for the yard to carry out certain
rehabilitation works on the vessel. This is the second out of two rehabilitation projects for the vessel. As an
introduction to the scope of works, this second rehabilitation project addresses the aft- and midship of the
vessel. The overall rehabilitation tasks are:
— Interior fittings are stripped to expose shell plating and frames.
— Beams, frames, bulkheads and shell plating are sandblasted, steel replaced where needed.
— Gutters, half-deck and main deck.
— Replacement of teak decking on half-deck and main deck.
— Re-building of interior.

Reference is made to process 2016/S 156-282633. In that procedure the Owner received tenders which all contained prices exceeding the pre-approved budget. This means the Owner was not able to accept any of the incoming tenders. Instead of cancelling the procurement, the Owner has chosen to continue the procurement as a competitive procedure with negotiation in accordance with Section 61(3) of the Danish Procurement Act. The Owner has invited the previous tenderers to participate in the negotiation and hereby announces the competitive procedure with negotiation to all interested tenderers. For more information please see the tender conditions, in particular section 3. This contract notice is made public in compliance with Section 61(4) of the Public Procurement Act.

The deadline for submitting preliminary tenders is 15 December 2016. If the Owner receives more than 5
preliminary tenders the Owner will invite only five tenderers to take part in the negotiation. The 5 tenderers to
be selected are those who have demonstrated the highest technical and financial capability. Reference is made
to the tender conditions, section 3.2.1 for further information on what documents and descriptions the tenders
need to submit to demonstrate that they are capable of performing the rehabilitation works.
