Acquisition of sterilized diets for rats/mice to the Department of Experimental Medicine, University of Copenhagen

The Department AEM is responsible for the animal care and use programme at the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen University Hospital. The majority of the animals are mice and rats, approximately 70 000 animals is at the department at any given time. The facilities include several stables with barriers. The barriers have been established in order to control diseases according to the Idexx program. All feeding to the animals are currently sterilized at the facility, followed by transport to the individual stables. However, an evaluation is ongoing as to whether the Department should stop the sterilization and change to irradiated feeding. Based on the above this tender includes a tender for fortified feeding (meant for sterilization), and an Option for Irradiated feeding.
