Services supporting the European Environment Agency's (EEA's) implementation of cross-cutting activities for coordination of the ‘in situ’ component of the Copernicus programme (2 lots)
Copernicus, previously known as GMES (global monitoring for environment and security) is the European programme for the establishment of a European capacity for earth observation.
The EEA is requesting the services of 1 or 2 contractors within the scope of 2 thematic domains or lots i.e. lot 1: observations (meteorology, oceanography, atmospheric chemistry and air quality, and climate); and lot 2: spatial data themes. The 2 thematic domains will cover a very large part, if not all, of the ‘in situ’ datasets and derived products needed by the Copernicus services to produce and/or validate products.
