Fund Manager for the Civil Society Organisations in Burkina Faso

The Danish Embassy has for years accompanied the civil society in Burkina Faso in the promotion and protection of human rights. Civil society organisations (CSO) are supported through a civil society organisation fund
The Embassy is currently seeking a Fund Manager to coordinate this support, which amounts to 92 000 000 DKK. The Fund Manager will be responsible for the administrative and financial management of the funds, the monitoring and evaluation and capacity building to ensure the sustainability of the achievements of civil society organisations. The administrative guidelines for the management of the fund will be determined jointly with the Fund manager, based on the Danish Ministry of Foreign Ministry's standard cooperation agreement.
Specifically, the Fund Manager shall:
1. Ensure the overall management of funds, including quality assurance CSOs reporting, and monitoring and evaluation of the CSOs in order to measure the achievement of results.
2. Identify needs for capacity building in relevant areas and to ensure the sustainability of their activities.
3. Ensure the capitalisation of CSO experiences in human rights, citizen engagement and prevention of the rise of radicalism.
The staff provided by the Fund Manager will be mobilised May 2016 and cover a period of 55 months. It will include 260 man months of both long term and short term and international and national technical assistance. The areas to be covered include management, capacity building of CSO, human rights, justice, corruption, water and sanitation, etc.
The Fund Manager shall have proven experience from administrating similar funds and financing civil society organisations; from capacity building of civil society organisations; from monitoring and evaluation of similar projects; and have strong skills in reporting and in capitalising results.
