Field dressings and dressing pads are used by the Danish Defence as first aid in the field to stop hemorrhaging and bandage wounds and for medical training of combat units.
The field dressings and dressing pads are used to prevent infection in wound and to soak up blood and drainage.
Field dressings and dressing pads are for immediate use in case of wounds and are often used under extreme weather conditions and in dangerous terrain.
The field dressings and dressing pads shall be able to work under the above stated conditions.
The Danish Defense is requesting dressing pads in the following sizes: (1) 15 cm x 15 cm, (2) 20 cm x 25 cm, and (3) 25 cm x 40 cm.
The Danish Defense is requesting field dressings with dressing pads in the following sizes: (1) 15 cm x 15 cm, (2) 17 cm x 17 cm, (3) 20 cm x 25 cm, and (4) 25 cm x 40 cm.
Size of dressing pad is allowed to vary +/- 0.5 cm.
The outer layer of the dressing pad shall be nonwoven viscose rayon constructed to eliminate unraveling and lint with a minimum weight of 50 g/m2. The central layer of the dressing pad shall be absorbent (cotton, etc.) with a minimum weight of 3.2 g/dm2.
Field dressing, 15 cm x 15 cm consists of an absorbent dressing pad attached to bandage. The folded field dressing shall have maximum length of 10 cm, width of 10 cm, and depth of 1.5 cm, and shall be delivered in a sealed bag.
Field dressing, 17 cm x 17 cm consists of an absorbent dressing pad attached centrally to bandage and an additional loose bandage. The folded field dressing shall have maximum length of 12 cm, width of 10 cm, and depth of 2 cm, and shall be delivered in a sealed bag.
Field dressing, 20 cm x 25 cm consists of an absorbent dressing pad attached to bandage and an additional loose piece of absorbent material. Field dressing, 20 cm x 25 cm shall be rolled with maximum diameter (Ø) of 5.5 cm, and width of 13 cm, and shall be delivered in a sealed bag.
Field dressing, 25 cm x 40 cm consists of a loose absorbent dressing pad and two loose bandages. The folded field dressing shall have maximum length of 20 cm, width of 8 cm, and depth of 5.5 cm, and shall be delivered in a sealed bag.
The packaged dressing pads and field dressings shall be easy to open (tear notch with tear string, etc.) using only one hand and teeth.

Ref. section III.2) According to directive 2004/18, art. 47(2) and art. 48(3) and directive 2009/81, art. 41(2) and 42(2), a candidate may rely on the economic, financial and/or technical capacity of other entities, regardless of the legal nature of the links with the entities. If a candidate wants to rely on other entities and wishes that the capacity of other entities is included when establishing the suitability of the candidate, the candidate must prove that the other entities will and shall put the relevant resources at the disposal of the candidate. The candidates must submit: (1) Annual turnover for the last 3 financial years available. (2) Solvency ratio for the last 3 financial years available. The solvency ratio is calculated according to the following formula (EQUITY/TOTAL ASSETS) x 100.
If the application is submitted by a joint Group of suppliers (e.g. a consortium) the required information regarding solvency ratio must be submitted for each member of the consortium. The information concerning the annual turnover can be submitted as the total annual turnover for the consortium's members. Reference is made to section VI.3 with regard to the candidate's possibility of relying on the capacity of other entities.

The selection of the candidates that will be invited to submit tenders will be based on the criteria listed insection III.2.2 and III.2.3. in order of priority: (a) the amount (value) involved, the frequency and nature of the candidates' previous similar deliveries, and (b) the economical and financial standing of the candidates. DALO reserves the right to reject an application for pre-qualification if the candidate or any sub-supplier is deemed unsuitable for participation in the competition and/or as supplier to the Danish Defence, cf. Clause 39 (2) in Directive 2009/81/EC.
