The contract relates to the monitoring of media coverage of the tunnel project in Fehmarnbelt between Denmark and Germany, as well as all media coverage of the company Femern A/S (hereinafter referred to as ‘the company’). The contract is divided into the following 2 lots: — Lot 1: Denmark; — Lot 2: Germany. A contract will be entered into with one supplier per lot. According to Section II.1.8, the same supplier can bid for both lots and, depending on the circumstances, may also be awarded both contracts. Today, media monitoring is an important strategic, managerial tool for Femern A/S, which helps to create the necessary overview for Femern A/S of all current media coverage of the tunnel project and the company. At the same time, media monitoring contributes to ensuring that the company is continuously able to: — 1: Respond quickly to coverage of the tunnel project and the company. The management and the Communications Department at Femern A/S continually strive to promote the dissemination of the company's messages and comment on any details of the tunnel project and the company that may be published in the media. — 2: Participate in the ongoing debate about the tunnel project and the company in the Danish and German media. The purpose is, among other things, to ensure that Femern A/S contributes to ensuring that the debate can take place on an informed and factually correct basis. With media monitoring, the management and the Communications Department at Femern A/S can obtain an overview of how the outside world perceives the company and its activities, and it also enables Femern A/S to plan and implement proactive media work. In future, Femern A/S expects to make use of media monitoring in the form of monitoring Danish and German media (in print, online, social media, TV and radio) in relation to all relevant news coverage about both the tunnel project and the company. The following services are covered by this contract: — Daily delivery of media monitoring, as indicated above, to the staff at Femern A/S in Denmark and Germany. The daily media monitoring is expected to consist of: — Background information about the media coverage, including media type, media name, author, title and subheadings and page numbers for printed articles. — Short summaries of clips from radio and TV. — Headlines and introduction and a link to each article (printed media) with the possibility to see the full article as plain text, i.e. without pictures and other illustrations. In addition, it must be possible to view and download a PDF with an accurate reproduction of the printed format. — Link to the TV or radio programme (where possible). — Delivery of monitoring data from printed media, news agencies and online sources at 8:00 (local time in Denmark and Germany). Delivery of the morning's media publications at 13:00 (local time in Denmark and Germany). — Archiving of the Danish and German media monitoring in an online archive with the possibility of performing news searches and looking up current, historical and statistical data. 1) Renewal of the contract:
The contract will include an option to renew the contract term for 12 months. The option may be used up to 2 times.
2) Performance of strategic media analyses. The option includes reporting and analyses in the form of image analyses (media coverage over a specific period in order to measure the impact and effectiveness of strategies and campaigns) or content analyses (analysis of the content of any particular period's media coverage to measure how the activities are perceived through the media in order to obtain information about the impact of our communication efforts).
2) Performance of strategic media analyses. The option includes reporting and analyses in the form of image analyses (media coverage over a specific period in order to measure the impact and effectiveness of strategies and campaigns) or content analyses (analysis of the content of any particular period's media coverage to measure how the activities are perceived through the media in order to obtain information about the impact of our communication efforts).
3) Delivery of the day's news to the Femern A/S intranet, which is available to all of the company's approx. 120 employees. News feeds should be delivered via a web service in an open and modern standard format.

3) In relation to para. IV.1.2, it should be noted that Femern A/S will pre-qualify 5 companies per lot. It must be clearly indicated for which lot(s) pre-qualification is requested.
In accordance with para. II.1.8, the same applicant may apply for pre-qualification in relation to both lots, and both lots may be awarded to the same bidder if pre-qualification has been applied for and bids submitted for both contracts.
4) The deadline for receipt of requests for pre-qualification is specified in para. IV.3.4).

The contracting entity would prefer the applicant also to enclose 1 physical (paper-based) copy of the request and 1 electronic copy of the request on a physical medium such as a USB flash drive.

The tender documents may contain further provisions regarding exceptions to the requirement for English, for example in relation to technical documentation that is expected to be deliverable in both Danish and German.
