Consultancy services for Training in connection with operation of 5 waste-water treatment projects and one water supply project financed by Danida Business Finance

Danida Business Finance is financing equipment supplies and construction of 5 waste-water treatment plants and one water supply project in Vietnam. One water supply project is currently being implemented while the five waste-water treatment plants are being tendered with expected implementation start in the beginning of 2015. The tenders for the construction of the projects are tied to Danish contractors and will adhere to the Rules and Guidelines under the Danida Business Finance scheme.
In order to improve delivery of sustainable waste water and water supply services provided by the organisations receiving support from the Danida Business Finance, a sub-component in form of a training package has been granted by Danida Business Finance. The purpose of the training will be to strengthen the capacity at the organisations with specific aim to improve project preparation and implementation in accordance with current international standards and practices, such as FIDIC design-build contracts and to ensure proper management, operation and maintenance of the plant hereby contributing to ensuring a lasting effect of the considerable funding made by Danida Business Finance.
Training will be provided to management, technical and administrative staff at the organisations and should be coordinated with the training package included in the contractor contract, any training provided by the Danida appointed monitoring consultant or other institutions. The training shall be conducted utilizing local partner organisations e.g. education institutions with specific knowledge and experience in water treatment training and capacity building, thereby also contributing to the local sustainability and longer-term effects of the training. The training courses shall furthermore be conducted in Vietnamese, a substantial amount of which shall be conducted without the use of a translator.
