JFK:
As a consequence of the decommissioning of plant 3 on the power plant Fynsværket in 2010, the production capacity was reduced to a level that has significant influences on the security of supply on the island of Funen when revisions in the grid need to be performed.
Within the next 5 years 1 of the two 400 kV systems from Jutland to Funen between Fraugde and Landerupgård needs to go through a major refurbishment process, where the towers of the overhead line need to be re-galvanized and where the conductors and earth lines need to be replaced.
As the grid looks today situations will occur where a lack of production capacity in the grid will lead to forced operation of the power plant Fynsværket, which in turn would incur large costs. In addition it will also incur limits in the trading capacity on the HVDC link Storebælt.
In 2018 the existing 150 kV connections between Abildskov and Sønderborg as well between Fynsværket and Graderup have reached the end of its lifetime and according to the grid development plan of 2013 and need to be decommisioned and replaced by cables.
Storstrømmen:
The Danish Road Directorate is planning to build a new combined rail- and highway bridge over the Storstrømmen strait to accommodate the new Fehmern connection between Denmark and Germany.
The bridge itself is scheduled to be constructed in the period 2016 - 2020 /21. When the new bridge is finished the existing bridge will be decommissioned.
Energinet.dk owns and operates 3 cable systems in the strait that will have to be decommissioned and removed in connection with the new bridge being constructed. Therefore Energinet.dk has decided to replace these three cables with a new cable connection to secure the power flow between Zealand and the Islands of Falster and Lolland.
General:
This tender consists of both submarine and underground cables, the submarine cables include the transport and laying of the cables as an option.
The tender will consist of 4 different lots and 3 options of which some can be optional in some of the lots.
Definitions:
— Option: Mandatory, must be included in the tender.
— Optional: Not mandatory, can be included in the tender.
The lots can be awarded individually or be awarded together and the options can be awarded to the respective lots where they are mentioned.
