Justice and Governance Implementation Unit, Democratic and Accountable Governance Component, Zimbabwe
In light of the gradual growth of Danish development cooperation funds towards Zimbabwe, the longer duration of the programme cycle (approx. 3 years) and diversity of partners in the area of governance and justice it has been decided to establish a lean Justice and Governance Partnership Unit (the Unit).
In order to support the implementation and management of the component a lean Justice and Governance Partnership Unit (the Unit) will be established with the responsibility to provide technical advice, programme management, financial oversight and narrative and financial reporting. The Unit will also manage a Civil Society dialogue platform for organisations working in the area of governance and justice.
The Unit will amongst other be providing advice to partners on governance and justice issues, the establishment of strong M&E structures and financial management. In addition the Unit will ensure timely reporting and consolidating progress across the programme. It is envisaged that the Unit will comprise of one full time and three part time persons/entities. The Unit will operate as a self-contained entity housed within a local nongovernmental organisation called Legal Resources Foundation.
