The framework service contract aims at providing the European Environment Agency (EEA) with support in the implementation of the shared environmental information system (SEIS) in Eionet and European neighbouring countries. The support is envisaged to contribute to broad-scale projects being undertaken by the EEA and will facilitate the regular/systematic exchange of data and information as a basis for improved assessment and reporting on the state of the environment, monitoring of progress in compliance and enforcement of international agreements as well as for assessments of effectiveness of existing legislation.
