Flight Line Test Set

Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO)

The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) is planning to purchase Flight Line Test Sets (FLTS) to replace the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) existing Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), ALQ-162 Jammer Test Set and UV/IR Missile Warning Systems.
These new FLTS are intended for use on all types of aircrafts within the RDAF fleet, to verify that the installed warning- and countermeasures systems are fully operational.
The purpose of replacing the RDAF's aging RWR testers is to acquire a number of FLTS that are capable of meeting today's requirements for missions and reflect the technological developments within this field.
The new FLTS shall ensure that a complete test of the aircraft's sensor array can be carried out quickly, safely and with a very reliable result, in the operating environments that the RDAF expects to operate in.
The FLTS must be handheld, robust and ruggedized, and easy to de-classify. The test sets must be able to carry out a complete test suite of the aircraft sensor array, without use of external power source during the test.
The test set must be able to be recharged on the external power sources readily available within the NATO community, which means that it can be recharged on – but not limited to - power within the range of 115 VAC 400 Hz to 230 VAC 50/60 Hz.
For fault isolation purposes, the FLST must readily be able to be mounted on a tripod, and have remote operation capability. FLTS must comply with current standards for equipment intended for use on the flight line.
