Cobalt 60 irradiator

DTU's Center for Nuclear Technologies (DTU Nutech) invites Tenders for a complete, cobalt-60 irra-diator for research within the field of radiotherapy dosimetry.
The cobalt-60 source will be used in a new laboratory for fundamental medical dosimetry to be estab-lished at DTU Nutech. This laboratory will also include a state-of-the-art medical linear electron accel-erator (max photon energy 18 MV). The purpose of the cobalt-60 source is to provide reference irra-diations, and it is therefore of outmost importance that the irradiator is of high mechanical stability and that it can deliver a homogeneous, well-defined, and stable beam.
The cobalt-60 source will be located in a non-clinical, laboratory environment at the DTU Risø Campus and it will not be used for any kind of patient treatments. The cobalt-60 source will be placed within the same shielded room as the accelerator.
It is envisaged that the irradiator consists of a sealed radioactive source, a source head with high shielding capability, a collimator, a baseframe or stand, power supplies, control electronics,safety system and documentation.
The total contract has a maximum value of 2 700 000 DKK. The contract value is inclusive of customs, duties, and all expenses on the part of the contractor but exclusive of VAT. The contract value comprises the Tenderer's fixed price products and services (elements/product types/equipment/services) until the products/services are delivered, installed, tested and put into operation. Tenderers therefore are to offer the best high performance and service-friendly irradiator system within the fixed maximum contract value.
Tenderers are required to provide optional quotations for different levels of service and support, re-sourcing and spare parts.

It is of decisive importance to DTU that the Tenderer has the required technical capacity to complete the
works.
As documentation of the Tenderer's technical capacity, the Tenderer must provide the following document by
completing Template C:
a) A list of the most important and comparable works completed by the Tenderer during the three most recent calendar years stating the time as well as name and telephone number of the recipient;
b) Information on the Tenderer's organisation, mainly information on the person or body respon-sible for quality control, including number of employees during the 3 most recent calendar years;
c) Tenderer's internal procedures and guidelines on quality assurance (e.g. quality systems and certifications).
