Multi beam satellite antenna and l-band signal matrix.
This tender deals with a new satellite antenna system for downlink application in our Master Control Room area (MCR). The tender includes satellite antenna(s), signal distribution, L-band matrix and Remote Mater & Control System (M&C).
The antenna is a replacement for several old dishes and should be placed on a dedicated antenna platform at TV 2/DANMARKS headquarter in Odense, Denmark. On the position.

The tender must include the following items:
A. Delivery
B. Installation – on the antenna platform and in the technical equipment room.
C. Cabling between the antenna platform & the equipment room.
D. Site Acceptance Test and review of functionality after xx days in use.
E. Training of users and support personnel.
1. Antenna specification
The antenna shall be a receive-only, multi beam antenna system and shall meet the following specifications:
— Ku-band.
— Antenna gain, approximately 50 dB (equivalent to a 3,7 meter Ku-band prime focus antenna).
— View angle, 70 degree or wider.
— Antenna construction. The antenna system may be constructed by either 1 single antenna or 2 / maximum 3 antennas in combination, to meet the requested viewing angle.
— De-icing system.
— Lightning kit.
— Receiving capabilities of 20 simultaneous satellite positions.
— LNB spacing ≤ 2 °.
— Satellite elevation 15 to 27 °.
2. L-Band DISTRIBUTION
Fiber based connections between the antenna and the indoor units in the technical equipment room. The distance is approximately 100m.
3. L-Band MATRIX
L-Band matrix size at minimum 96*96.
The matrix shall have expansion option to minimum 128*128.
The matrix will have inputs from the antenna(s) in this tender as well as signals from a wide range of other antennas.
4. Remote management & control (option)
The remote M&C system is intended for controlling the new multi beam antenna system and all the existing satellite equipment in the MCR area, which includes the following devices:
— L-Band matrix (Option in this tender).
— M&C for satellite uplink equipment.
— Tiernan TITAN encoder / modulator.
— HPA controller.
— Waveguide switch.
— Paradise P300i satellite modem.
— C. Andrew APC 300 antenna controller.
— Research concepts RC1000 antenna controller.
— Tandberg IRD TT1260 og RX1290.
— Interface for VSM control system.
— Interface for Miranda iControl via iControl Services Gateway, control of selected parameters in Miranda synchronizers.
The M&C system shall be accessible via ip-connection and have multiple login capability.
