Major overhaul of AVV unit 1 steam turbine section MP2 and LP.
Unit 1 was commissioned in 1990 and is a 262 MW BBC turbine with a steam pressure of 240 bar and steam temperature of 540 C running at 3000 RPM. It consist of a high pressure section, two medium pressure sections and a low pressure section. The work concerns the second medium pressure (IP2) section and the low pressure section (LP), both of which are with dual outlet with asymmetrical outlet pressures. The condenser pressure after the LP-section is 0,037 bar. There is only one radial bearing between each section of the turbine, and also between the LP and the generator.

The scope of supply is a complete steam turbine major overhaul for section IP2 and LP including total inspection of the turbines and NDT inspection of major parts. Refurbishment of used components and supply of new components may be required, which requires installation and documentation by the supplier, in such a way that it complies with stated operational and functional guarantees.The supplier shall carry out the relevant analyses and calculations which DONG Energy finds necessary, related to the evaluation of alternative solutions as well as carry out adaptation to other plant components.
