Framework Agreement for supply of mobile water-treatment units

Danish Emergency Management Agency

Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) is a preparedness authority responsible for the Danish National Fire and Rescue Service, which consists of six national rescue centers with permanent employees, conscripts and volunteers. The fire and rescue centers are able to assist local fire and rescue services, the police and other authorities in the case of major or prolonged accidents or disasters, where there is a need for extra manpower or specialized equipment.
By request from a governmental or international organization, DEMA can also assist in disasters abroad.
This tender sets out the requirements of the Danish Emergency Management Agency's (DEMA) for mobile water treatment units. These units are to be used to generate clean and safe water in both international and national emergency situations. These units will be used to supply water for DEMA’s own purposes and/or to supply water in emergency/aid situations.
For DEMA’s own purposes the units are to be used in the base camp module to supply clean drinking and domestic household water. The base camp is most likely to be deployed internationally.
When the units are to be used in emergency/aid situations, they are likely to be used when there is a contamination of the public fresh water supply and consequently there is a need for temporary water treatment in a period of up to 12 months.
