Consultancy Services for Regional TV Journalist Training – Vietnam
The Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has requested loans from Danida Mixed Credits to upgrade the technical facilities of the two provincial TV stations in Dak Lak and Lao Cai.
Danida has previously supported similar projects in the Thanh Hoa and Nge An provinces, and from the beginning it was decided, in addition to technical staff training, also to include journalistic staff training in order to ensure that the new equipment could be used not only to improve the technical quality of the productions, but also to improve the content of the programmes and support the role of radio and TV in Vietnam towards more public service broadcasting.
Therefore, based on previous experience and by the request from the MPI, Danida has decided also to grant funds for the present journalistic training component to the two provincial TV stations in Dak Lak and Lao Cai.
The training is envisaged to be conducted in English with translation into Vietnamese.
