Aquisition of AM UHF/VHF radios military "Ground-Air-Ground" communication

Forsvarets Materieltjeneste

The Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) existing terrestrial VHF and UHF radios used for “Ground-Air-Ground” communication are no longer operationally or technically up-to-date.
The purpose of the procurement is thus to replace a number of the radios that are installed at Remote Radio Sites located at various locations in Denmark. These radios are used by the RDAF Air Control Wing for military “Ground-Air-Ground” radio communication in secure or non-secure mode of operations in order to be able to direct, guide, control and command aircrafts. In order to support secure mode operations a number of the radios shall have broadband capability.
The procurement also includes the replacement of both VHF and UHF radios, used by Air Traffic Control at the military air bases where the radios are used for communication with aircrafts e.g. in relation to take off and landing.
This use of the UHF and VHF radios is essential (flight safety) and operational availability shall be 99.9 % when operating 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
All the radios are to be interfaced to the operators by a Voice Communication System.
It shall be noticed that the equipment within the scope of this request for Tender shall be purely Commercial Off The Shelf, COTS.
The procurement will include Radio spare parts and Line Replaceable Units (LRU) spare parts - both for the period under warranty but also as part of a 4 years support and maintenance agreement.
